So, it's the end of Faire season and I've got more projects than I know what to do with. New ideas for garb and re-do of a few pieces that just don't work anymore.
My Beloved and I bought a new toy at NHRF. An Elliot Ligh Dragoon Flintlock live fire pistol. I love the smell of black powder.
Here is a picture of my Beloved and I at CTRF. This is the doublet I made for him.
It's hard to see, but it's the best picture of the two of us.
NHRF was a blast. I definately been bitten by the faire volunteer bug. Here is a picture of my sister wenches. We had a great time
Oh, and on a different note. In an effort to extend garb season I dressed up for Halloween at work in my Nobel's garb and won best costume. It is the gold gown and green overdress that I got from Museum Replicas...yeah, I finally have a picture of me in it. The crown is from my wedding.
Opening day of the Salem Pirate Faire was wonderful. Pastime did their usual brilliant performance. The story was funny, the performances were spot on and the interaction with the crowd was great. This faire definately had the Magic.
Oh, and the Brigands. This is the first time I was able to see their performance, and I had the rare oppertunity to see the bull Brigands, complete with Mr. Marley. They were fun and very talented.
It was so nice to see so many friends and spend time with them.
I meant to post this awhile ago, but...well life happens sometimes.
Had a blast at opening weekend. Got seriously damp Saturday as it rained for a good hour after opening gate, but it didn't dampen the fun. Spent way too much money. Captain Ann introduced me to the House of Dra and Sneaky Pete introduced me to RenBoots.
To top it all off my Daugther called on Sunday after we left the faire. It was great to hear her voice.
I'll post some pics as soon as my Rogue downloads them from the camera. The yellow gown performed so well with just my bodice. It was very distinctive.
I'm posting a new pic of me in "Work friendly" pirate garb. Just ignore the red lunchbag.
